NSU utilizes Acalog for its campuswide online course catalog system. The catalog is accessible at http://catalog.northern.edu/ and from the NSU homepage, and is managed by Academic Affairs.

Adobe PDF

Technology Services provides advanced support for Adobe PDF, including use of Adobe Pro for editing, accessibility and conversion to mobile- and presentation-friendly online FlippingBooks. For assistance, please submit a Service Request.

Campus Calendar

The NSU Campus Calendar (25Live) is accessible from the NSU and myNSU homepages. In addition to events, users can request space through the calendar. Responsibility for functionality of 25Live resides with Technology Services and individual schedulers. More information can be found on myNSU Technology Services.

Campus Alert System

The emergency notification system is managed by Human Resources. All faculty, staff and students are automatically enrolled in the system. Please visit Campus Safety for more information.

Cognos

The Cognos reporting tool is available for approved users to access and run developed reports using data from the Banner system. To request a report, please submit a Service Request.

FlippingBook

Web Services can convert flat PDF files to an interactive, mobile-friendly book format for publishing online. Request conversions by submitting a Service Request.

Formstack

Departments may utilize Formstack to host online forms. To request a form, please submit a Service Request.

Google Apps

Students have access to Google Apps through their Wolves email credentials. Apps includes Gmail, Google Docs and more. Find Google Apps at https://accounts.google.com and find more resources at myNSU Technology Services.

ImageNow

Northern's standard document imaging system is ImageNow. It is recommended that official documents, needed for retention purposes, be stored in this system.

Microsoft O365

Northern provides access to the O365 platform to both students and employees. Students have access to the basic Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Employees have access to the full suite, including advanced collaboration and productivity tools. Access O365 at https://www.office.com, using your Northern account credentials.

myNSU Portal

myNSU offers internal (campus only) information and resources, including access to Self-Service Banner, SNAP, Brightspace by D2L, DegreeWorks, and email.

NSU Mobile

Available from Google Play or the App Store, the NSU mobile app provides access to news, events, campus map and directory, courses, grades, Navigate360 (student), and Banner Self-Service registration.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is Northern's campus standard survey software. To get started, visit myNSU Institutional Research.

SNAP

SNAP is the system-wide information portal that houses human resources, finance and student information systems. SNAP is used to access a number of applications, including timekeeping, purchasing, course registration and grades. Visit SNAP in myNSU: Faculty/Staff SNAP or Student SNAP.

Self-Service Banner (SSB)

SSB enables students to search and register for courses, view financial aid and billing information, confirm attendance and more. Faculty utilize SSB to view their advisee's, class rosters and enter grades. Access to SSB is through Student SNAP or Faculty/Staff SNAP. More information can be found at https://northern.edu/self-service-banner-faqs. All questions related to registration should be directed to the Registrar's Office or your academic advisor.

Zoom Web Conferencing

Zoom is Northern's online conference tool that provides synchronous video, web and audio capabilities. Zoom is integrated with Brightspace by D2L and can be accessed at https://northern.zoom.us.
