  • Bergjord, Ries to hold senior recital on Oct. 30

    ABERDEEN, S.D.- Luke Bergjord and Nicholas Ries will have a senior recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in Northern State University’s Johnson Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
     
    Bergjord, the son of Dave and Mary Bergjord, grew up in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 2012.
     
    Ries, the son of Mark and Ann Ries, grew up in Goodwin, graduating from Watertown High School in 2013.

  • 2016 Concerto-Aria Competition set for Nov. 3 at Northern State University

    ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Aberdeen University-Civic Symphony will present the 2016 Concerto-Aria Competition at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 in Krikac Auditorium on the Northern State University campus.

    Winners of the competition will perform with the orchestra at its concert on Feb. 25, 2017. This year, there will be 12 vocal competitors and eight instrumental competitors:

  • NSU admissions representative to visit Rapid City area high schools

    ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University Admissions Representative Greg Fred will visit high schools in the Rapid City area this week.

    His visit schedule is as follows:

    Thursday, Oct. 27: Spearfish High School, 2 p.m.

    Friday, Oct. 28: St. Thomas More High School, 11:40 a.m.

    ABERDEEN, S.D. –  Northern State University international students will present a gala of global cuisine and culture in the center of campus at this year’s revamped NSU Culturefest.
