ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C The fifth annual Lamont-Rhodes Lecture will be held in the Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, March 26.

ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C Thanks to community partnerships, this month¡¯s job fair at Northern State University will be bigger and better than ever.

NSU Career Services is partnering with the South Dakota Department of Labor and Dakota Media Group, parent company of the American News, to host the Aberdeen Area and NSU Employment Expo and Job Fair. The event will take place 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the NSU Barnett Center and is open to Northern students as well as community members.

Dr. Indra Chandrasekar will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 NSU Research, Scholarship and Creativity Forum, set for Tuesday, March 19, in Northern¡¯s Beulah Williams Library. 

ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C Students working toward a management major in the Northern State University School of Business can now pursue an area of emphasis in supply chain analytics.

The new area of emphasis, added this semester, was created in response to the needs of area employers. All 32 companies represented on Northern¡¯s Business Advisory Board said they could use students with the skillset that will be gained through this area of emphasis, said Dr. Tim Mantz, Dean of the NSU School of Business.

ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C Drs. Hannah Walters and Kristi Bockorny of the Northern State University School of Business have co-written a scholarly article that was recently published in the December 2018 issue of the e-Journal Business Education & Scholarship of Teaching (EJBEST).

The article, titled ¡°Relevance of General Education: An Assessment of Undergraduate Business Students,¡± was published in volume 12, number 3 of EJBEST.
