  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – This spring, a student team from the Northern State University School of Business’ Policy and Strategy class tied for the top ranking score worldwide in a simulated competition.

    NSU students Patrick McCormack and Kue Moo, both seniors, earned a Global Top 100 ranking on the following criteria:

    • Overall Game-to-Date Score: 110.0, tied for the best overall score performance of the week, worldwide.
    • Earnings per Share: $37.27, the 13th best EPS performance of the week, worldwide.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – A research project by a Northern State University student has been accepted into the Association of Leadership Educators Annual Conference.

    Ashley Meyer’s project, “Training for Middle-Level Managers: A Qualitative Study,” was accepted for the Practice and Research Posters presentation at the conference, set for July 12-15 in Nashville.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – This fall, the Northern State University School of Business will begin offering a Master of Science in Accounting Analytics.

    The program, approved Wednesday by the South Dakota Board of Regents, will help fill a need in the regional workforce while providing graduates with cutting-edge competencies in the high-demand field of analytics as the business world becomes much more data-driven.

    ABERDEEN, S.D. – The sixth annual Lamont-Rhodes Lecture will be held in the Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, March 31.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Longtime Northern State University faculty member Dr. Doug Ohmer has been named the new dean of the NSU School of Business.

    Ohmer, associate professor of management, has worked at Northern for 26 years, serving as interim School of Business dean this academic year.
