  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – On Saturday, Dec. 8, 108 students will graduate from Northern State University at its 2018 winter commencement.

    The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. in the NSU Johnson Fine Arts Center.

    Delivering the commencement address will be NSU Associate Professor of English Dr. Peter Ramey, Northern’s 2018 Outstanding Faculty Award winner. Saturday’s student speaker will be 2018-19 Student Association President Shanae Doerr.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. –  Northern State University School of Business’ Dr. Kalyan Chakraborty was recently chosen as the recipient of the 2018 Atlantic Economic Journal’s (AEJ) Best Article Award for his article, titled “Measuring the Impact of Socio-Economic Factors on School Efficiency in Australia.”

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – A committee of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs has reviewed and accepted a Quality Assurance Report by the Northern State University School of Business.

    This acceptance by the ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners is an extension of the NSU School of Business’ 2016 accreditation with the organization.

  • VERMILLION, S.D. – Northern State University will offer a new minor in Chinese on campus and online.

    The South Dakota Board of Regents approved the minor for NSU this week, as well as a minor in Russian studies for the University of South Dakota. Both are meant to help graduates navigate language and cultural understanding, according to a news release from the Board of Regents.
